It used to be enough to track down a piece of stationery,
put some words on the page, fold the thing up, put it in an
envelope and drop it in the mailbox.
Not that it is such a bad thing to write a letter every now
and then.
Unfortunately, the horse has left the barn. We've got
computers, e-mail, web browsers, iPods, Blackberries, cell
phones and all sorts of things that are changing the way we
communicate. Which brings me to this website.
The purpose of this site is really to share photos; photos
from the archives of the Duffy and Newcomb families, as
well as loads of photos of the current generation.
I have been slowly accumulating photos from old shoeboxes,
old photo albums, etc. As I turn up photos, I scan them,
then make an attempt to label them. I than organize them
into a chronological archive (my master photo vault). Once
the photos are there, it becomes easy to reassemble them
for various purposes.
I hope you enjoy browsing the photos. I also hope you get
inspired to root through the attic/basement to turn up any
photos that could fill in the gaps.
Thanks for dropping by. Enjoy.
